This course is designed and structured for people of all abilities to learn a basic understanding of the ancient art of faux marbling paint techniques.

On this course you will be shown how to prepare and apply gold and silver leaf.
This picture board was made from a single sheet of MDF board cut to size and given a driftwood style paint effect. As always I used water based acrylic paints and varnishes.
Sample boards completed on the decorative paint taster course held in the new studio during December. They all achieved a high standard of finish, especially as none of them had any previous experience, and I looking forward to seeing them again on other courses starting in the Spring.

One Day Wood Graining Course

​The course was great fun and was set in a very calm quiet studio. Simon was a very knowledgeable and enthusiastic tutor, who patiently guided me through the wood graining taster course.
